Using Launcy With GalleryGrabber1.3

Launchy is a Firefox extension available here that allows you to run programs from Firefox's right click menu. You can add the functionality of GalleryGrabber1.3 to Launchy by creating a custom xml file. Launchy has a page for creating one here. Then just enter the following information in the automated creator.

• Enter the name of the application as GalleryGrabber1.3
• Enter the path of the application as the place where you saved the GalleryGrabber1.3.exe file.
• Leave the type of application as browsers.
• Leave the arguments of the application line options blank.
• Create the launchy.xml file and copy the text that it gives you into a text file and save it as launchy.xml.
• Copy that text file and place it in the Chrome directory of you Firefox profile.
• The profile location can be found by going to Tools>Extensions>Launcy>Options>Launchy.xml in Firefox.

Now when you right click on the page that has the gallery that you want to download select the Launchy portion of the menu and then select GalleryGrabber1.3. GalleryGrabber will fill in the URL of the page automatically. Just hit go and begin downloading the gallery.

GalleryGrabber 1.3 Released

• I fixed the imagevenue problem, so it now downloads all of the imagevenue images.
• GalleryGrabber now remembers your last directory that you downloaded to.
• Interfaces with the Firefox extension Launcy.

PaintedOver.com still may not function correctly, but that site has been down so I have not been able to solve the problem.

GalleryGrabber 1.2 Released

GalleryGrabber 1.2 is now available for download.

I changed my visual style, so the screenshot looks slightly different, but the basic interface is the same.



GalleryGrabber 1.2 features some significant changes from 1.1:

• The interface is threaded so that it no longer locks up during downloading tasks.
• The download status text area keeps you informed of how many files have downloaded.
• The downloads are faster because they are no longer sharing resources.

Of course GalleryGrabber also has more imagehosts added from 1.1 to 1.2. The supported image hosts are as follows, the new ones are in italics.

GalleryGrabber 1.2 operates the same as GalleryGrabber 1.1, simply enter the address of the gallery in the text box and hit "Go". The list box will fill up with all of the available images. Select which images you would like to download and then hit "Download Selected Files". A box will prompt you where you want to save your images at.
